MARIGAT RIGHT TO DREAM SOCCER TOURNAMET

Marigat “Right to Dream Soccer Tournament,” season one to be held from 5th, -to- 7th, December 2025. This will be a 3-day event intended to promote local talent, advance community efforts against alcohol, drugs and substance abuse, promote peaceful coexistence amongst communities in the area and provide a platform for young players in Marigat, Illchamus, Mochongoi, Mukutani, Mogoswok, Saimo, Tiaty to showcase their skills, develop it, and use it to earn a living or pursue educational success through sports scholarships.

Objectives

  • Provide a platform for young players to show case their talents.
  • Give opportunities to young and talented youth to joins secondary schools, colleges and universities through sports scholarships
  • Develop sport structures that can used to engage the youth around this regions in order to protect them from alcoholism, drugs and substance abuse, radicalization in to banditry and other social misfits, in order that they may become productive to themselves and the society at large
  • Foster community engagement and unity that will lead to peaceful and harmonious coexistence
  • Provide the avenue to develop the identified talents through skilled coaching, good infrastructure for visibility and possible signing to established clubs locally and internationally

Target participants

We target young players of ages from 12 years to 23 years from the participating regions within Baringo South and Tiaty Sub-County.

Tournament Activities:

  • Distribution of equipment and kits to clubs (distribution of balls, jerseys, goal nets, markers and cones, goalie gloves is scheduled to start from October 2025 to enable teams prepare)
  • Coaching and Training Sessions (selection of trained coaches and posting to clubs should start in November 2025)
  • Playing football
  • Counseling and mentorship

Tournament structure;

The tournament will use committees from among the community members, however the FKF branch and sub-branch offices will provide the overall technical support
